Request Account & Data Deletion — Orbit: Journal

This page explains how to request deletion of your Orbit account and all data linked to it.
Option 1 — Delete in the app (recommended, immediate)
- Open Orbit: Journal and sign in
- Go to the Profile tab
- Scroll down and tap "Delete account"
- Review the list of data that will be deleted, then tap "Continue"
- Type the confirmation text shown on screen and confirm
You are signed out immediately and your account is scheduled for deletion.
Option 2 — Email request (if you cannot access the app)
Email poom.suchaoin@gmail.com from the address you used to sign up for Orbit.

Orbit account deletion request - In the body, include your account email and the sign-in method you used (Google / Apple / email)
We respond and process the request within 30 days of receiving it.
Data that is deleted
When the deletion completes, the following is permanently removed from our systems:
- All diary entries, including their text and any derived analysis
- All tasks
- All photos and audio files you uploaded (stored in Cloudflare R2)
- Your profile and all app settings
- Your sign-in account (Firebase Authentication)
Data stored on your device is erased as soon as you confirm in the app.
60-day grace period
After the request, your account is marked pending deletion for 60 days. Your data stays intact during this window.
If you sign in again within 60 days, the deletion request is cancelled automatically and everything is restored.
After 60 days, all data is permanently deleted and cannot be recovered.
Data that is retained
- Usage analytics (Mixpanel) — events sent before deletion may be retained by Mixpanel under its own policy. Ask us by email if you want these removed too.
- Infrastructure server logs, which contain no private journal content, are rotated on our providers' own schedules.
- Your deletion request email, kept only as long as needed to show the request was handled.
